on a 5000 acre private conservation area bordering the Amboseli National
Park at the foot of Africa's Largest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Satao
Elerai Amboseli Camp looks down onto the Amboseli National Park in one
direction and up to Mount Kilimanjaro in the other direction, giving clients
what is arguably the best location of any camp in Amboseli. One of the
biggest advantages of Satao Elerai Camp is that being located on its own
private conservation area clients have the chance to view wildlife in

mattresses and pillows and a large luxurious duvet ensure that you will
sleep through the night in total comfort. Large sliding doors open out onto
your own private verandah overlooking the plains below and Amboseli National
Park. Each room has its own bathroom with a view, equipped with bath tub,
shower, sink and flush toilet. Designed using natural rock and acacia wood
the bathrooms have a design and feel unique to Satao Elerai Amboseli Camp.
The Satao Elerai Project is a community project that has been along time in
the making. The project has been a concerted effort between the owners, The
African Wildlife Foundation and The Elerai community. The concept is to
provide a sustainable income from tourism for the Masai community in the
area and to try and ensure that it is in the communities interest to protect
the wildlife for generations to come. Amboseli has been a location where
human-wildlife conflict has been an issue for many years, and it is projects
like these that can over time ensure that communities start to benefit from
wildlife and to ensure they invest in protecting and securing their future
for their own benefit.

Luxury Tented Camp - Selenkay Conservancy
Amboseli Porini Camp is located in the Selenkay Conservation Area lies a few
miles north of Amboseli National Park and is an important dispersal area and
rangeland for wildlife migrating out of Amboseli. Selenkay Conservation Area
is well off the beaten track and has not been visited by tourists until now.
It lies in the heart of Maasailand and the animals are truly wild and not
yet habituated to the presence of vehicles. Within the conservation area the
following animals have been seen recently: elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah,
Thompson's and Grant's gazelles, gerenuk, impala, oryx, lesser kudu, zebra,
wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, striped hyena, jackal, bat-eared fox, Caracal,
African wild cat, serval cat, genet cat, honey badger, mongoose and ostrich.
Birdlife is prolific, especially birds of prey.
• The Amboseli Porini Camp facilities include 6 spacious guest tents,
comfortably furnished and with en suite bathrooms including shower, wash

Ol Kanjau Camp - Amboseli
Ol Kanjau Camp is sited at the end of Africa's largest hill slope, Mount
Kilimanjaro, whose icy rim is only 30 kilometers south in Tanzania. Ol
Kanjau is adjacent to Amboseli National park and is surrounded by a larger
area of true African bush land wilderness owned by Kisongo Maasai
pastoralists. Ol Kanjau is a traditional safari style tented camp kept as
simple as possible so that you can still "listen to the quiet nature, smell
clean air and try to count a million stars."

and luxurious tents, with large comfortable beds, safari style bathroom,

Kibo Safari Camp - Kenya Safaris in Amboseli
Kibo Safari Camp, a new addition of a tented camp in Amboseli National
Park. Kibo Safari Camp exudes a rustic appeal to luxury as most of
its construction was implemented with use of natural materials hence
giving it a more natural look.
All tents are equipped with a sink (hot and cold running water),
shower stall (hot and cold running water) and toilet with flushing
water. The water comes from an 85m deep bore hole. It is crystal clear,
potable and tastes wonderful. The showers are fitted with low pressure
heads in efforts to be environmentally friendly and not use too much
water but at the end of the day you still come 'home' to a hot shower.
Water is heated both by solar thermal units and by log fire. It is
then put into the traditional 'safari drum' that is located at a high
level just behind your tent. You then have ample water for a good shower
at the end of the day. Inside the tents are lit using compact
fluorescent energy saving lamps that currently are run off a generator
but that will soon be running off the abundant solar energy collected
during the day.
The camp is surrounded by an electric fence to keep the large animals
out. Even so they are so close that you can comfortably sit in your
porch and watch elephants and other animal strolling and grazing close by.
